By Foot from the City Centre
There are two ways to walk to South Street Kitchen from the city centre. You can walk through the train station to the tram-stops beyond the rail platforms. Cross the tramlines and turn left immediately up the path with a gradual slope. At the top of the hill you are on South Street and SSK is pretty much straight in front in units 19-20 behind the wall saying the Scottish Queen. Alternatively you can take the footbridge over Park Square from Ponds Forge and then turn right and walk up South Street to SSK.
By Car
For the next few weeks the top of South Street is temporarily blocked off for building work, however, if you are parking the directions remain the same as described below. If you are dropping off or collecting from South Street Kitchen you can still do so by following the directions to car park below and then following the diversion signs on a temporary road between the two sets of flats.
For parking if you approaching from Park Square roundabout take the Duke Street exit (B6070) and then turn right after about 100m. You are now at Park Hill. Follow the gravel road up to the left and park in the top car park. If you are approaching from the west of the city drive up Shrewsbury Rd (B6071) until you reach the traffic lights at the junction with Duke Street. Turn left and then turn left after about 150m into the Park Hill estate. The entrance to South Street Kitchen is just on the other side of the building next to where you have parked, to get there walk between the sets of flats and then turn right and we are on your right.
